St. Louis Blues

Simply but beautifully enough, The St. Louis Blues hockey team have a name that was inspired by a song. Some memorable moments for this National Hockey League team (in chronological order): 1967 - 68. The team was founded and held their first match (a tied game) against the Minnesota North Stars. 1968 - 69. Legendary hockey players Jacques Plante and Glenn Hall were recruited (both were Vezina Trophy award winners). 1985 - 86. They made it to their seventh-in-a-row playoffs. One of the most thrilling hockey matches ever, on a game known as the Monday Night Miracle, Doug Wickenheiser scored the last point of the game, a rebound shot that eluded Mike Vernon (the Calgary Flames rival player). Sadly, although they made a breathtaking effort, they did not win the finals. Come sing the Blues live, buy St Louis Blues hockey tickets!
