Racing Club, also known as Racing Club de Avellaneda or La Academia (The Academy), is an Argentine football team that currently plays in that country’s First Division tournament. It is one of the teams from the group known as the “Big Five” of Argentine football, and it holds home matches at the Presidente Perón stadium, located in Avellaneda, Province of Buenos Aires. Due to the club’s location, their traditional rival is Club Atlético Independiente, and the matches that face these two teams are called the Clásico de Avellaneda. Their home shirt features white and light-blue vertical stripes, and among their honors we can find 11 national titles and three international titles, including a Libertadores Cup won in 1967.
