The reliability of Real Madrid, the newest world champion, will be put to the test in January: 4 high-level matches, in the Spanish League and the Spanish Cup.

Real Madrid matches January 2015

Ancelotti’s men will start the year with the same will to keep winning as they ended the former one.
Real Madrid doesn't show signs to be losing any steam as they continue to make good use of their top form. The players are managing to keep themselves hungry after wrapping up the year 2014 with a 22 match winning streak and 4 titles under their belts.

Despite the injuries that have hit the team in the last few matches, the Italian coach will make use of the best manpower at his disposal to keep the critics away, critics that have walked with him since his arrival in the ‘white house’.

With this premise, January starts strong with four matches where the ‘whites’ seek to continue to show the world their hunger for victory. Three clashes in La Liga (the Spanish League) and one in Copa del Rey (the Spanish Cup), where we will see two Madrid derbies that will not leave anyone disappointed.

Valencia vs Real Madrid, January 4th

On the first game of the year 2015 Real Madrid will face Valencia away from their home turf on January 4th. The players will come out to Mestalla's stadium pitch at five o’clock with the goal of keeping control of the game.

Real Madrid benefits from topping all the ranking tables and will face this match with the intention of holding its reigning position. Valencia sits comfortably on fourth position but will continue to try to regain the momentum they created at the beginning of the season but failed to keep grasp of.

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid Copa del Rey, January 7th

High emotions and lots of tension is what this match brings to the table on this eighth-final game of the Copa del Rey, where two teams of the Spanish capital will square off on January 7th. This Madrid derby is proving to generate a high level of expectation as one of the most anticipated matches of the begining of the year.

It is a high-voltage clash where the ‘whites’, current title holders, will pay a visit to their neighbors in the Vicente Calderon stadium. Both teams come with a baggage of sixteen previous matches against each another and with Real Madrid getting the ‘W’ on eleven of the events.

Real Madrid vs RCD Espanyol, January 10th

Real Madrid’s third game of the year will be in the comfort of their home turf and getting closer to the end of the first half of the season. On January 10th, on the season’s 18th week, Real Madrid will face Espanyol that is currently sitting on the middle of the table.

The ‘merengues’ will use this opportunity to offer to their fans the FIFA Club World Cup trophy they conquered in Marrakech and which was pending celebration.

Getafe vs Real Madrid, January 18th

Yet one more Madrid derby will take place at the begining of 2015 and will be part of the League's 19th week of the season on January 18th at 12pm on the Coliseum.

Getafe gets ready for the challenge with hopes of showing the best versión of themselves and once again catch Madrid by surprise, the same way they accomplished in 2012 when they managed to end up on top.

We are anticipating a kick-off of the year full of emotions and excitement for football fans, in big part thanks to Real Madrid’s astonishing winning streak and refusal to slow down. If you want to experience in first person the excitement that football has to offer, Ticket Bureau makes it possible, get your tickets here and feel the competition’s emotions to the fullest.
