Cristiano Ronaldo received the Best FIFA awards 2017!

For the second year in a row, Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo received FIFA award as the best player of the year.

At the ceremony, which was held in London, gathered the best players in the world, special stood out the presence of Barça and Madrid players. On the green carpet, there were world football celebrities which special attention was focused on Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar, the three finalists nominated for The Best Player Award. The ceremony was not without the icons of football such as Maradona or Ronaldo who followed with attention the whole ceremony  and did the honors in the delivery of awards.

The captains and coaches from the different teams, and to a lesser extent journalists and fans, were in charge of voting which for them had been the best player of the year 2017. Each of them could award 5, 3 and 1 point to three different players, depending on their preferences. For example, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo did not vote each other, Ronaldo voted for his teammates: giving 5 points to Modric, 3 to Sergio Ramos and 1 to Marcelo. For his part, Messi gave 5 points to compatriot Luis Suárez, 3 to Iniesta and 1 to Neymar.

Speaking of figures, Cristiano Ronaldo took first place with 43.16% of the votes, Messi in second place with 19.25% of the votes. Further, in the third position, Neimar barely reached 7% of the votes.
Other awards presented during the ceremony were: The Best Player of the Year (Lieke Martens), The Best Manager (Zinedine Zidane), The Best Female Manager (Sarina Wiegman), The Best Goalkeeper (Gianluigi Buffon), The Best Goal of the year (Olivier Giroux) and The Best FIFA fans (Celtic Glasgow). The Best of the top 11 this year, it was consisted of goalkeeper Buffon and a defensive line formed by Marcelo, Bonucci, Sergio Ramos and Dani Alves, from other hand midfield with Modric, Kroz and Iniesta, and a trident from Messi, Neimar and Cristiano Ronaldo.
