New York Rangers

Frank Boucher, Bill Cook and Ivan Johnson were recruited to form a new hockey team to play in New York. These three rookie players discovered by Conn Smythe were to play in the Madison Square Garden, shared with The New York Americans. And so, adopting the press' pet name, the Tex's Rangers (a name given because of their founder, Rickard Tex, not to be confused with the Texas Rangers) were born in 1926. Despite Smythe being fired, all the members selected by him were kept on the team. By their second season, they were proving their worth, as winners of the Stanley Cup. Then, another victory would come in the 1932 - 33 season under the management of Lester Patrick. Afterwards, during a dramatically tight Stanley Cup game, they earned their third trophy in 1940. After being renewed a couple of times, and Madison Square Garden rebuilt, one should not miss an opportunity to see the New York Rangers live, buy New York Rangers hockey tickets!
