Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers, a professional basketball team founded in 1970, first played at the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium as the Buffalo Braves until 1978, when they moved to San Diego and changed their name to the Clippers, a reference to the clipper ships that docked at this port. They moved again to L.A. in 1980. Among the best players in their history are Hall of Famers Bob McAdoo (who, during the 1973-73 season, won the Rookie of the Year award) and Bill Walton (in 33 games with the Clippers he averaged 14.1 points per game, fourth best mark of his career). With their best record since they moved to L.A. (47 - 35) the Clippers qualified for the playoffs in 2006, and had a successful season. Buy Los Angeles Clippers tickets today and come watch them play at the Staples Center.
