The Japan national football team entered into FIFA in 1929, but due to the World War II, they abandoned it until 1950 when they reincorporated. They have won the AFC Asian Cup four times, being the team which has won this title most times. At this year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil they are the most important Asian national football team. It will be their fifth participation to the World Cup. In the FIFA Confederations Cup they were runner-up and in the Olympic Games of Mexico in 1968 they won the bronze medal. Their coach is Alberto Zaccheroni and the team counts on players like Keisuke Honda, Shinji Kagawa and Yuto Nagatomo.
